A Mount Vernon man was driving northbound at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 7 on Post Road in Scarsdale near the intersection of Kathy Lane, when he attempted to change lanes, police said. When he did so, he had to swerve back into the right lane to avoid striking an SUV he didn’t see.
According to police, after swerving back into the right lane, the driver hit the snow-covered curb and struck a stone wall. After striking the wall, the vehicle overturned and came to rest on the roof.
Scarsdale Det. Lt. Edward Murphy said that the 20-year-old driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries as a precaution.
